The Pheasantry Welcome Centre in Bushy Park is to be closed for 9 weeks from tomorrow.

It's the the centre is to be renovated to allow for more people to use the site.

Improvements include a better flow through the cafe, make service easier and increase the internal space.

The information point will be improved aswell as made more accessible.

It's hoped soft landscaping will help blend the building in with the surrounding gardens – there will even be a kiosk to serve dog walkers.

Visitors to the park can still enjoy the surroundings, during the works, as two temporary kiosks will be available serving tea, coffee, snacks and hot food from Friday morning in the picnic area.

The toilets will remain open and access to the Woodland Gardens from the car park will also still be possible.

Work on the centre starts on Monday.
