People living in Hampton and Whitton are being urged to have their say on improvements in and around Crane Park.

It's all part of Richmond Council's Parks Improvement Programme.

Plans include creating four smaller open spaces under the auspices of Crane park, and along the River Crane.

The council-owned land includes Hospital Bridge Road, Willow Way Open Space, Mill Road open space and the section between the allotments and the river.

The Pevensey Road area andLittle Park could also be changed.

The southside entrance to Crane Park on Hospital Bridge Road will also see improvements including tree works and vegetation clearance to improve access as well as marginal planting along the riverside.

The Parks Improvement Programme II focuses on continuing the improvements to park infrastructure across the borough, which residents highlighted as an important service in the All in One survey.

Councillor Virginia Morris, Cabinet Member for Environment said: "This new project goes to show that we are listening to residents who said that improving parks and open spaces in the borough is one of the most important services that the Council can provide.
