The dry moat surrounding the entrance around Hampton Court Palace has filled up with water.

It's the first time in living memory in which anyone has seen the moat full of water.
Having been confirmed that 2012 has been the wettest year on record, it now could mean that it's the wettest year in half a century.
The water table rose so much over the last month that the lawns outside the palace and the gatehouse have been immersed.
