Over 800 people across Hampton Hill and Teddington woke up to a cold shower this morning because of a major power outage.

UK Powernetworks were called at around half 6 this morning, with engineers dispatched soon after.

They've said there was a fault on the underground distribution network.

600 people have now got power, with engineers working to restore electricity to the remaining 193 households.

Meanwhile, residents have been making their feelings known.

The Old Mill Pub @Dunningsmill: "Getting up at 6 to start work early to find there's no power does not make me a happy girl!!"

Ben Tivnen @tivnen said: "8.45: still no power in Holmesdale Rd or Hampton Wick end of Kingston RD"

UK Powernetworks have apologised for the inconvenience and say that power should be restored in all areas by 10.30am.
