Parents have been meeting the new headteacher appointed for the St Mary's in Hampton after being appointed just before Christmas.

Catherine Davis was offered the job in October after being headteacher for Trinity Church of England in Devizes for the past 3 years.

She'll be St Mary's first ever headteacher in April.

Parents met at St Mary's new home at Oldfield Centre on Saturday morning, where they met her individually.

Miss Davis studied Music and Education at Homerton College, Cambridge.

Her career began as a Reception Class teacher in Cambridgeshire. She comes as a very experienced headteacher with proven abilities.

She has worked in a number of church schools and has a clear vision of the potential that a school like ours has.

Her referees spoke of her great energy, vigour, grace and compassion. We are very excited to have recruited such an outstanding head.
