St Mary's Hampton Church of England Primary School could be given a new home, should proposals at next weeks cabinet be approved.

Earlier this year, the department for education gave the go-ahead for the school to open in September next year, with a pupil size of 30.

Richmond Council have said they're putting forward plans to lease the former Oldfield School site on Upper Sunbury road.

Councillor Paul Hodgins, Richmond Council Cabinet Member for schools says: "In Hampton, the Oldfield site has not been used by the council for two years and rather than sell off this property for housing, I am pleased that it will be retained for school use, providing additional primary school places in an area where there has been high demands for places."
