Stones have been thrown at cars and houses in Sunbury, with potentially dangerous consequences.

In the two most recent incidents, which occurred just after midnight on Saturday, 2 March, stones were thrown at moving vehicles in Vicarage Road, Sunbury-on-Thames.

Two white boys, aged around 14 to 15-years-old, wearing black clothing and hoodies, were seen in Staines Road West throwing stones around 20 minutes prior to these offences occurring.

These latest incidents follow nine other reports over the last month of incidents in which stones have been thrown at business and residential properties and moving and stationary vehicles in Vicarage Road, Green Lane, Cavendish Road and the Beechwood Avenue estate.

There have also been six reports of stones being thrown at parked vehicles in a lay-by on the A316.

Spelthorne Youth Intervention Officer PC Caroline Barnes said: "This is a particularly worrying spate of criminal damage incidents."

"Thankfully so far no one has been hurt but with stones being thrown at occupied properties and moving vehicles someone could be seriously injured."

"In one of the latest incidents there was a pregnant woman in the car and this has obviously caused her some distress and had potential for much worse.
