Yes Strictly is back and it`s even bigger and better this year! Last weekend fourteen new celebrities made their debut on the show.
I thoroughly enjoyed watching their performances. You could see lots of basic steps of Cha Cha & Waltz. Cuban Breaks and New Yorks were very popular as well as Spin Turns, Chasses and Pivots .
My favourite of all was Lisa Riley. I loved her Cha Cha routine and whole performance. Her timing throughout the routine was fantastic too. Robin had confidence in her when he gave her lots to dance out of hold. He obviously saw her potential in the group dance of the launch show and that was why he was s pleased to partner her. WELL DONE LISA YOU GO GIRL!!! It wasn't just Craig who was impressed with her Cha Cha moves to Think by Aretha Franklin (love that tune), the other judges offered her equally high praise. Len Goodman noted: 'You're a funky monkey I'm telling you.' He added: 'You were like a fizzy bottle of cola.'Len did admit that her performance wasn't precise but noted: 'Whatever lacked technically was made up for in energy and enthusiasm.' I totally agree. I was also very impressed with James Bond star Colin Salmon. This guy can really dance! I am so looking forward to see how much he will grow as a dancer over the next few weeks. Denise Van Outen Waltz was beautiful too. Even Craig showed he could be nice by simply stating: 'Save the best till last ` on Friday night. What a shame about Victoria Pendleton. Bless her, the nerves took over and she lost most of the routine! Placed at the bottom of the leader board despite being partnered with Brendan Cole, who is notorious for aiming to be at the top. Losing isn't something she's used to... and clearly it's not something she wants to become accustomed to either. Nevertheless she looked stunning as she first took to the dance floor in a hot pink halter neck outfit. Her hair and make-up were beautiful too. I am sure Brendan will work her hard and next Saturday we will see Victoria dancing so much better. Bring it on beautiful girl!!! I am so looking forward to the next weekend and to see the improvement.
So, tell me who impressed you last weekend?
