Do you have a problem with any of the services Richmond Council provides?

Do you think you can change or shape the borough?

Well Richmond Borough Council has put together a new Youth Associate team.

The Team will be fifteen young people who will work alongside the Council's Youth Service to carry out inspections of services available for young people.

Successful applicants will receive full training to do the job, which includes carrying out mystery shopping exercises at venues and services young people use.

They will be expected to attend regular meetings, as well as keep accurate records, feedback and evaluate their findings.

Aside from having an opportunity to shape the services they use and be really involved in the design and delivery of Council policy.

Cllr Christine Percival, Richmond Council Cabinet Member for Children's Services, said: "This is a real initiative by the Council's to increase the number of children and young people involved in influencing and shaping local services."

The Youth Associates team will be made up of 15 young people, from the ages of 16 to 20 (up to 24 if the person has a disability).
