As the fancy hats are placed back in their boxes, and the dresses and suits are taken to the dry cleaners, the end of summer brings a tearful (?!) close to the wedding season. Whether you were a guest, family member or part of the happy couple, it’s time to say goodbye to all that organising and instead focus on the happy memories from the day.

The Venue

 

Residing close to Hampton Court Palace must make us the luckiest people in Surrey! This is the most beautiful location, and ideal as a wedding venue.

 

The palace has several different rooms to choose from, offering a good variety depending on numbers and of course the all-important budget. There is massive space available in the Main Hall for 400 people or the more modest offerings of the Garden Room for 230 at £3,750 or The Little Banqueting House for an intimate 50 for £4,250 or . The palace also offers marquee spaces if you decide to create your very own room from 200 to 1,000 people. However, only certain rooms are licensed for wedding ceremonies and civil partnerships.

Sadly, hire fees exclude catering, photography, music, entertainment, flowers, etc, but the events team work can provide details of their preferred suppliers. If you do decide you would like to organise your own I would highly recommend confirming this with them before signing a contract!

Directly opposite the palace is Hampton Court’s other big contender, Carlton Mitre Hotel. The hotel offers its own wedding space, The Pavilion, which has stunning views across the river, and the terrace is the perfect place for a summer wedding.  

The hotel provides a wedding team to help with every step of the day and they also use recommended suppliers. There are discounts available as well if you don’t want to wait until next summer. Hold your special day at the Carlton Mitre Hotel and they offer an all-inclusive wedding package for £4,999. This includes 50 daytime guests and 100 evening guests...contact them to find out more.

Hampton Hill Studios are professional wedding photographers. They are very familiar with the local venues and the web site has lots of sample images so you can see their style. You need to contact them directly for a quote.

The Flowers

Floral World, Hampton provides a personal friendly service and they have experienced and qualified florists who have worked with many wedding venues and will be able to help you to decide how best to incorporate floral design in to your wedding theme.

The Cars

The Dress

Unfortunately there are no bridal shops directly in Hampton, but there a few nearby.

Always & Forever (Feltham), Maid in Heaven (Ashford) and Belle du Jour (Staines)are worth trying, otherwise it’s a day out in to the capital...shame!!
