Residents fight against new phone mast

Local residents have been lodging complaints to Elmbridge Council in reaction to Vodaphone's application to build a 11.8 metre high phone mast.

Vodaphone want to plant the 'pole' next to the Embercourt roundabout. However, due to scientific evidence that radiation can have a negative effect on people's health, residents are not happy about it.

Apparently those more at risk are children and with the site being close to Esher College, St Pauls and Weston Green schools, it would result in children being exposed to radiation for long periods of time.

Ok, so we may need better reception on the old mobiles, but at what risk? Send us your comments.
