A man and women in Hampton suspected of drugs offences

A man and a women living in Linden Road in Hampton have been arrested on suspicion of possessing class A drugs.

Police officers swooped on addressed in Hampton, Staines and Shepperton during Operation Hyades.

It was a raid aimed at cracking down cracking down on drugs offences.

The 42-year-old woman was later cautioned due to the small amount of drugs involved.

An 18-year-old man was arrested at an address in the Linden Road on suspicion of being  concerned in the supply of drugs.

He has been released on bail until Thursday, 31 January.

Detective Inspector Jake Nuttall, who led the operation, said: "We have seized suspected drugs from a number of addresses, which has prevented the substances from entering the supply chain."

"I hope these raids send a strong message to both those involved in criminality and the wider public that we will not tolerate those who blight our communities with illegal drugs and other associated offending."
